Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

Q:  When will the games be played during the season?

A:  During the last couple of season, the games have been played on Fridays and Saturdays.  That will remain the same this year, unless we have a large surge of registrations and need to make room for more games on a different day.  The majority of the time, you'd likely only play on one of those two days, but sometimes due to make up games (weather related), odd numbers of teams in a given age bracket, the tournament and/or other unforeseen items, you might play on a Friday night and a following Saturday.

Q:  How many practices does each team have each week and what times are they held?

A:  Depending on the coach, the amount of practice time slots open and the kids/parents on a given team, the vast majority of teams practice only one night a week, for one hour.  During preseason, we try to work with teams that request a second practice as time and space allows.  Once the season begins, you'll have one practice per week, for one hour.

Q:  Where will all games be played?

A:  All games will be played at the Stokesdale Elementary Gym, with the possible exception with the older girl teams for ages 11 and up.  If we get enough participation to form a complete girls team (or hopefully a couple) for the ages 11 and up, they will play against other communities, such as Oak Ridge and Summerfield, and will occasionally play at the opponents gym throughout the season.
